What are the current trends of AI? How is the future of AI taking shape?
The year 2023 turned out to be a turning point in AI development. I will outline four noteworthy trends I observed during this year and offer predictions on the direction in which AI is heading.
The impact of technology from history
Let me start by contrasting two paintings in past centuries. One is Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci in 16th century. The painting is touted as a masterpiece in depicting the beauty of a woman in the most artistic and realistic way. Leonardo da Vinci used innovative technology to create 3D effects and the enigmatic smile.
Centuries later, Pablo Picasso drew a similar face of a woman. In this case, instead of a smile, in the painting titled as “The Weeping Woman,” the woman cries profusely.
